#2 Aragon: People who want fast results and more headshots per dollar at the higher tiers.
Aragon is fast, documents a 30-day deletion window, and offers a free redo. Its refund rules are close to HeadshotPro’s but stricter in practice: Reddit users report denials after downloading. The constant “limited time” discount is a pricing tactic, so judge it by the price you actually pay.
#3 BetterPic: People who want 4K files and an EU-based data store, and who will delete their data themselves afterward.
BetterPic’s privacy policy is the most detailed here, but its default retention is long, so use the delete button when you’re done. The refund window is the tightest of the tools with clear prices, and edits cost extra. Its strengths are 4K output at every tier and EU storage.
#4 Magic Studio: People in a hurry who are comfortable with their photos being used to improve the models.
Magic Studio is quick, but it costs more than the top three, its refund promise conflicts with its own terms, and its privacy policy lets it use your inputs and outputs to improve its models. Its 5.0 Trustpilot score is for magicstudio.com as a whole, which sells many AI tools besides headshots.
#5 Secta Labs: Hard to recommend until it publishes prices and refund terms.
Secta’s data-deletion policy is good, but we couldn’t find a price or any refund terms behind its “Refund guaranteed” badge, and its Trustpilot reviews are the weakest here. Pick a tool that shows you both up front.
#6 Dreamwave: Not recommended while it has no public price and no refunds.
Dreamwave’s retention terms are fine, but an unpublished price and an all-sales-final policy put it last. Its own site claims a 4.96/5 rating from more than 2,000 reviews without naming a source, while its Trustpilot page shows 3.1/5 from 12. Some reviews on its Trustpilot page also seem to describe a different Dreamwave product, so treat that score with care.

We can’t honestly tell you, because we haven’t generated headshots with these tools, and we know of no independent, published quality test. User reports suggest every tool produces a share of unusable images. That’s why refund terms matter so much.
Can I get a refund if I don’t like my AI headshots?
Usually only if you haven’t downloaded anything. HeadshotPro and Aragon allow 14 days, BetterPic 7 days (before your model is trained), and Dreamwave none. Downloading even one image often ends your refund right.
What happens to the selfies I upload?
It varies widely. HeadshotPro deletes inputs after 30 days. Aragon deletes face data within 30 days of delivery. BetterPic keeps inputs for up to a year unless you delete them. Magic Studio’s privacy policy lets it use your photos to improve its models.
